Leadership in Uncertain Times: Creating a Culture of Resiliency and Innovation
In this presentation, Glenn Yonemitsu will be discussing a framework for business leaders to create and sustain a culture of resiliency and innovation as they lead their organization through these uncertain times. Glenn will discuss the importance of anticipating challenges so a company can be proactive when faced with the unexpected; triaging and prioritizing business activities using the OODA loop military concept; developing innovative concepts and teams to quickly shift toward creative solutions; and harnessing real-life examples of businesses that have put resiliency and innovation at the center of their business culture.
Ontario’s Economy: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and International Collaboration
As the world emerges from the pandemic, governments are developing new programs and strategies to facilitate their post-pandemic economic growth and recovery. Marisa Goepel will discuss how Ontario has met the pandemic’s challenges with a renewed focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and its all-important relationships with the international community. Marisa will share details on new initiatives that the province is deploying to spur post-pandemic growth, including the launch of the province’s newest agency: Invest Ontario. Ontario remains a world-class destination, open for business, with countless opportunities for collaboration with California and members of MAPLE.

We will be providing virtual access for online networking and to view the presentations live through our Remo platform for guests who are unable to join us in-person.
We so look forward to seeing everyone at our first in-person event since the start of the pandemic. Please note that we will be observing Covid protocols with our host, Knobbe Martens. Guests will be asked to sign a waiver at registration. A copy will be provided in advance for review. Our in-person program will include on-site networking and an update on MAPLE after which we will be viewing the guest presentations virtually along with our remote attendees as a result of travel restrictions for our speakers.
