Small business stakeholders are invited to participate in the 3rd USMCA-CUSMA-TMEC SME Dialogue in Montréal on May 16, 2024, hosted by Global Affairs Canada and Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service. This event provides an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and stakeholders from Canada, the United States and Mexico, including those owned and led by traditionally underrepresented groups, to engage in productive discussions regarding regional trade and investment under the United States-Canada-Mexico Agreement (USMCA). The SME Dialogue is convened by SME Committee’s government representatives from Global Affairs Canada, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative with the Department of Commerce and Small Business Administration, and the Secretaría de Economía.

This year’s themes are SMEs in value chains, inclusive trade, customs and regulatory procedures, intellectual property rights protection, access to financing and government support, and e-commerce. A draft agenda is attached. The Dialogue is a unique opportunity to explore strategies to strengthen regional economic cooperation, enhance business opportunities, and promote sustainable growth within North America. Your valuable participation will contribute to enriching the Dialogue and fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas among SMEs from Canada, the United States and Mexico.

You are also invited to a networking reception on May 15, 2024, providing an excellent opportunity to network with other delegates as well as senior government representatives from Canada, the United States and Mexico.
