Each quarter we host a reception to welcome members, partners and guests across sectors to connect around cross-border and regional interests in trade, investment and entrepreneurship. These receptions are a quarterly touchpoint for our community to share insights, learn from one another and to make valuable new connections.

For our Fall Receptions, we are excited to welcome two of our Toronto-based members as our guest speakers. Cumming and Partners, an immigration law firm, and Trowbridge Professional Corporation, a cross-border tax firm, will be joining us across our three Southern California events. You will not want to miss hearing from these respected cross-border experts.

Leveraging a North American Immigration Platform for Competitive Advantage

T. Andrew Cumming, founder and managing partner of the Toronto-based  immigration law firm, Cumming & Partners, will be discussing how to utilize a North American immigration platform to obtain a competitive advantage for your business through an overview of the strengths (and differences) of the U.S. and Canadian immigration systems and how they can be used together to facilitate a superior global mobility strategy.

Global Mobility & Corporate Tax

Todd Trowbridge and Ernie Nagratha, partners at Trowbridge Professional Corporation, a leading cross-border tax firm based in Toronto, will be discussing global mobility and corporate tax issues for businesses considering their operations in Canada and the United States.
